Technical Session - Road Statistics Committee - PIARC Databook of Roads and Road Transport 2020-2023

This session presented outputs of activities of Road Statistics Committee during the work cycle from 2020 to 2023. The Committee has produced PIARC Databook of Roads and Road Transport 2020-2023. The Databook includes ten road-related indicators such as motorway length, the number of vehicles in use, road fatalities, road policies etc., which are selected from seven main areas of roads and road transport.

The session was divided into two parts. The first part was a presentation on outlines of PIARC Databook of Roads and Road Transport 2020-2023. The second part was a panel discussion on road statistics/databook, including presentations to be made on road statistics by the Committee members and discussions on issues of their necessity, future development of road statistics/databook and so on among the panelists.
